Giuseppe Fallacara

Giuseppe Fallacara (Bitonto, 1973) is an architect and Full Professor of Architectural and Urban Design at the Department of Architecture, Construction and Design of the Polytechnic University of Bari.

His research explores the relationship between architecture and construction, with particular attention to stereotomy, stone architecture, structural design, parametric modelling and digital CNC fabrication. He has developed numerous experiments that reinterpret traditional stone-cutting techniques through contemporary design and production tools.

His works include the Escalier Ridolfi, the entrance portal created for the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Alexandros obelisk, the prestressed stone arch built in Brignoles and the Foglia in Parabita. His research brings together material culture, technological innovation and architectural experimentation.
