Cristiano De Nobili | Emma Fai | Marco Grasso | James Nemo | Luciano Pes

Climate Change Septet is the latest performance by Occupy W.C., celebrating ten years of unconventional artistic interventions with a multi-voiced reflection on climate change, artificial intelligence, and communication.
The authoritative contributions of Marco Grasso, Cristiano De Nobili, and Luciano Pes are counterbalanced by the provocative participation of Emma Fai and James Nemo, created using generative artificial intelligence. These contributions extend the reflection to the theme of the authenticity of communication, questioning what is real and what is not, while also highlighting old and new fears about the future of humanity.
The dystopian use of everyday objects serves to contextualize the participants’ contributions within an environment—a public restroom—where perceptual dissonance can break down various kinds of structures and hierarchies.
Created by Marcello Simeone and Giulio Lai, Climate Change Septet is conceived as a micro-laboratory on the mystification of reality and the constant need to see beyond the filters imposed by the mainstream view.

Ten years of Occupy W.C. Ten years after its inception, Occupy W.C. continues its itinerant journey. Over a hundred performers from more than twenty countries have participated in the project’s installations, with works displayed in over fifty locations, including museums, airports, stations, and public spaces worldwide.
The interventions, accompanied by QR codes that lead to contributions on the website www.occupywc.org, offer a view of reality that is ironic, provocative, and divergent.
